In each of these two continuing encaustics, a hummingbird hovers above an abstract flower of rich red. The red is further pronounced by a milk white background Nadine dedicated to the pair. The featured hummingbirds are full of color, and their life-sized bodies hint of the work’s wax material and it’s melted composition.
