This framed papercut was made with orange and green origami paper that has been placed beneath an intricately cut black paper. Together these two 2-dimensional materials create a piece where the black paper becomes a background, and it’s negative space creates the featured chrysanthemums. The papers’ contrast brings the flowers’ blooms to the forefront, while the matching black frame gives this piece a borderless look.
