Bill Mauzy turned this vase with the wood from a Sewanee Cherry tree. The woodgrain’s natural patterns run across it’s surface in fascinating arrangements. Bill shaped this wood turning with a lathe and chisel, and allowed the wood to settle into its new form before a final second turning. He also applied a a red wood dye to the vase’s exterior.
