Hal Broyles
July 6, 1928 - November 23, 2022
In Hal Broyles’ abstract drawings, he created endearing works of art in oil pastel. The colors of these works are foremost vibrant, and enhanced by the white of their archival paper background. Hal ensured each line and expressionistic form played a role in his art, with muse most often drawn from memories. He and his wife Charlotte made a home in Tullahoma, Tennessee where Hal spent more than 30 years as a technical illustrator for the U.S. Air Force. Hal also holds the honor of having been awarded the very first Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1954.
